[o9] Internet-less

To say DSL sucks would be a severe understatement. But yeah. I have DSL and lately (for about 2 months or so now) it’s been crapping out on me beyond control…so I’ll have to use Luis’ cable connection whenver I want to go online…which is almost impossible because between him hogging my laptop till the ends of the earth, he is at work and I am not at his apartment…which is across town -_-;; so there will be very few updates…I won’t be on aim as much either…I’m still in the midst of trying to convince my mother to go back to cable internet. It’s fruitless so far…

[o8] Nexus

At the beginning of this week, my cat (also belongs to Luis) Nexus became very ill. He was breathing very rapidly and very deep, he wouldn’t eat, he wouldn’t play and he meowed each time he was picked up. The same night we noticed his strange behaviour, we rushed him to an emergency veterinary clinic that was open 24Hours. They placed him in a cage that help his breathing and told us they would run some tests…one test being Leukemia. He came back positive for Leukemia…

We left him at the clinic and proceeded to get many phone calls…we learned that the cause of his heavy breathing was 170ML of Fluid that had gathered up in his lungs, and that there was a large mass in his heart that was identified to be Lymphoma…a Cancer. The vets suggested we continue testing, send him to a speacialist…and have him put through sessions of kemotherapy. However this would cost close to $10,000 and it wouldn’t be a gurantee that it would at all help him survive…and that cats with Leukemia don’t usually last more than 2-3 years…

Our only decision, due to financial hardship, was to put him to sleep. We wanted to take him home and have a few days to spend with him and spoil him but unfortunately, his body tempurature would rise to 105 degrees once taken off the oxygen, and also his longs would fill up with atleast 80MLs in just a matter of hours…

We laid Nexus to rest last night at 2am…we pet him and told him how much we loved him, and that we would never forget him…he was very affectionate and knew what was going to be done. Once he was ready…he laid down all on his own and relaxed…we called the vet in…she sedated him…then put him to sleep. I’m happy that he went peacfully, I just wish there were something more we could have done to save him…unfortunately any other alternative would make him suffer.

Nexus is a beautiful cat. He’s very playful, and very curious. He plays rough, but never means to hurt you. He was a picky eater, and would always act adorable just to have a piece of food off your own plate. His favorite is chicken, and he even likes spaghetti sauce. He loved attention, and would sit on your lap for hours just to get pet, and when you went to sleep, he’d be under the blanket with you, or cuddle up right beside youre face and if you were lucky, he’d lay right on top of you. He was very acrobatic, and filled with energy. Out of the litter of 6, he was the best pick. He’s in a better place now, and will no longer have to suffer.

Luis and I love you very much Nexus. Rest in peace.

[o7] VooDoo Couple

Luis and I went to the mall today~ we went to Sabarro’s first to eat of course…it’s so silly there cuz the Parmesan Cheese, the Pepper, Garlic, Salt and all those thins you like to add to your pizza…are all chained down in this little station and there’s a huge sign that says “Please do not take shakers”. We stood there for a moment and thought “would anyone really steal those shakers?” we didn’t bother with themt hough…the pepper wasn’t coming out of the teenie holes, and the two shakers of cheese were empty -_-

Afterwards we went to Blue Moon and I already knew what I wanted to get. The last time I was there, I saw these little Ethnic Voodoo dolls there. I thought they were so adorable but I figured Id come at another time to get them…and I looked online to see if they were cheap and…they weren’t at all. They’re like $40 on yesasia.com! At Blue Moon their $12.75…But anyways. Luis wanted to get me one over the weekend while he was in Philidelphia. He tried to trade it off some kid for cards but he said it had sentimental value so he didn’t want to keep trying.

But anyways! I showed them to him and he really started liking them a lot and said we should both get some. He liked the Pirate, the Frankenheart, and the Devil. I liked every single one but I really wanted the Cupid. He decided on getting the Devil on that day and we realized that our EVD’s were contrasting; one was good, the other was evil. Also, you can’t have one, without the other..and I thought it was just like us. Although neither one of us is really evil or pure, but we love each other a lot and you can’t have one without the other…so I thought it was really cute and we’re really happy we got them ^-^ I’m really happy…because we share something together.

What’s really cool about these EVD’s is that every little doll has a story…Below are pictures of each and a description…

[o6] Binding Contracts

A slight dispute occured yesterday between my boyfriend (Luis) and his ex-friend (John). John has problems with Luis. He hates him, for whatever reason, so he tries to make everythin hell for Luis. Now, My boyfriend plays YuGiOh and he’s excellent at Trading fairly. Last night he was trading with a friend and afterwards they were dueling. John butted it and urged Dan (the one Luis traded with) to win the duel, and said that a handshake is not a binding contract at all…and then he continued to say that he studied law and such, but John has a tendency to stretch the truth and make himself seem better than he really is.

Lots of people there said that a handshake, seals the deal. I happen to agree. What do you think? Answer the poll and leave comments

[o5] Moderation is good

Ive seen various articles and comics about online gamers being far too addicted to WoW [World of Warcraft]. My boyfriend was one who was addicted to this game as well. He’d play every day and night until…3am when he had work at 5am. Hed raid, he’d grind he’d quest but it finally took its toll when he decided to stay up late and not sleep at all and he totalled his car on his way to work that same day…actually he didnt’ learn a thing/ He continued to play obsessively until he had to move. Then he played at my house. Then I didnt let him used the laptop. He got pissed. He hasnt been able to play since because his computer broke, my dad hates him and wont allow him in the house and his account was stolen twice. But he seems fine.

Although I cant say much. I like WoW myself but games like that need to be played within moderation. Unfortunately my boyfriend gets addicted to every Card Game nad Video Game so…Moderation isn’t a word he’s familiar with. But I read an online comic today. It made me laugh. Click the link.

[o4] Awesome Drama

I’ve been watching a Taiwanese drama called 微笑 Pasta / Wei Xiao Pasta / Smiling Pasta and it is one of the best dramas I’ve seen so far. Granted I’ve only seen about…7 or 8 dramas to completion… but out of those 7 or 8 this is top2. It has fantastic music, good characters and plot development and…it’s just awesome. It’s basically Full House with Bi and Song He Gyo…but better.

[o3] Guitar Hero

I’m not sure if anyone noticed this, but… just because you play Guitar Hero, doesn’t mean you’re awesome at playing a real guitar. They’re completely different. Now…I don’t play Guitar, and I’ve only played Guitar Hero once. But I do know that I find ti easier to play a real guitar than Guitar Hero (tried it once.) The buttons on the guitar for GH…don’t resemble a real guitar at all, not only that but theres like…549703460640723076074560 different notes and places to put your fingers on a real guitar, whereas the GH control only has like what…4 buttons, the strumming stick thing andd the lil button that poses as the strings.

 ..So anyone that thins theyre a guitar legend or hero and thinks they should be praised and they brag about the fact that they got 5 Stars on whatever song on Hard…need’s to shut up.
